Ok, so I must admit that I had a warm, fuzzy feeling when I was thumbing through InStyle magazine’s fall 2009 special issue and several of the pages featured accessories that we have coming in for fall…such as the ornate cuffs shown above. When we are in market, we scour the city looking for the best of the best for our customers. Then when you get validation by a national magazine that you did indeed select the hottest items of the season – it just feels good!

New Bump at Leigh’s

We’re having a baby!!! Oh, I mean Carol S. is having a baby. Our mama-to-be wanted everyone to know, yes, she is pregnant and not just on a summer food binge! She is due February 5. There is speculation on the floor that she’s having a boy because the only name she and her husband can come up with is the boy’s name Liam (this is a very scientific conclusion). We are all looking forward to having a new baby in the Leigh’s family. I hope this baby is ready for a bunch of doting self proclaimed aunties…and uncle!

I would like to introduce you to our new on-site Laura Mercier make-up artist, Emily Nurmikko. Emily is fabulous! She will be at our store 3 days a week, you can stop in or schedule an appointment to consult with her on your Laura Mercier cosmetic needs. I sat in her chair and had her do my make-up, wow, I was so impressed. Not only did she do amazing make-up on me, she also recommended a few new items that she thought would work well for me…. and she was right. I love the new products I got – they’re so great! The trend that we saw in all areas of the market for fall was the legging. It was paired with tunics, oversized sweaters, jackets, t-shirts….anyway you like it, it was there! We love the legging and will have lots of options for you this fall….even a little leather!
