Leigh’s was rockin’ last night! We had Laura Mercier’s Face to Face event going strong with some of Laura’s premier artists. Joe DeVries had hoppin’ with music.

Steve was here from Bar Divani making fabulous drinks. We had models showcasing looks from Pamella Roland’s fall 2009 collectioin. Designer Pamella DeVos made a personal appearance. It was so much fun!!! We all stayed late and had a blast! We love our customers and we were so happy to see all the new faces in our store….welcome!

Deb Clark was in Birmingham over the weekend and stopped by a few specialty stores.  As she was discussing that she is a buyer for a locally owned specialtiy store on the West side of the state, one of the owners gave her a handout.  The handout was a reprint of letter/article written by the publisher of Styleline:  Metro Detroit’s Guide to Fashion, Beauty and Home. It was a very compelling piece and I would like to share it with you.

Ellen Taylor from the Todd Chance Radio Show on 105.3 HotFM came to see us at Leigh’s today. Carol Slomp gave her a fabulous make-over using Laura Mercier cosmetics. Ellen loved her “smokey eye” that Carol created. It was so great to have her in our store – she is upbeat, fun and has the most gorgeous skin known to mankind! Ellen is the voice on our new radio commercial we are airing for our Laura Mercier “Face to Face” make-up event on May 28 & 29. She wanted to come in and check out the product herself.
